Safety and Healthcare

The Andrews Volunteer Fire Department provides top-notch rescue services for any rescue situation that might occur in or around Andrews County. The members of the department take great pride in the quality of service provided to the entire community.
The City of Andrews Police Department and the Andrews County Sheriff’s Office oversee the public safety of Andrews County. Since the City of Andrews is the only city in Andrews County, the two entities work closely together ensuring the public safety of both the city and county is well served.

Permian Regional Medical Center
Permian Regional Medical Center provides quality healthcare for the residents of Andrews County and 18 surrounding counties in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The hospital consists of a 49-bed acute care facility. For more information, visit their website at permianregional.com.
For the convenience of their patients, PRMC has also opened an “Express Care” clinic that is operated in conjunction with our emergency department which is staffed by qualified physicians 24 hours a day.

The Permian Residential Care Center opened in the fall of 2004, providing a new, resident-friendly long-term care facility with 90 beds. This lovely facility is already almost full and plans are being made for the construction of a 24-bed Assisted Living facility as well. These initiatives will ensure quality, long-term care in Andrews for decades to come.
